The Grand Lake Yacht Club Sailing Foundation is a non-profit organization created to promote amateur sailing, including sailing education, competition, and water safety, and is committed to broadening the base of support for the sport of sailing in our community through community sailing programs for youth and adults. The Foundation supports these activities and the development of future sailors and racers through community outreach programs, training activities, the provision of sailing equipment and the encouragement of participation in local and national sailing activities. Contributions to the Grand Lake Yacht Club Sailing Foundation are tax-deductible.
The GLYC Sailing Foundation operates the GLYC Sailing School and GLYC Adaptive Sailing program and hosts state and national regattas. Through generous donations, we supply and maintain the fleet of teaching sailboats, racing equipment, coaching support dinghies, and sailing facilities. The Sailing Foundation provides Sailing Instructor Training and Adaptive Sailing Certifications through US Sailing. With donations, we are able to offer a variety of programs, such as Woman on the Water, that empower, teach, and celebrate women sailors of all levels.
